Purpose of the Agreement
In the event of an earthquake, tsunami, windstorm, flood, or other disaster covered by the Akita Prefecture Regional Disaster Prevention Plan, Taiyo Kogyo will promptly supply “tents and other materials and equipment” to designated locations in response to requests from Akita Prefecture.
The “Tents and Other Materials and Equipment” section includes large tents, air tents (McQuick Shelters), and partitions (quick partitions) for use in evacuation centers, etc. For smooth operation, information will be closely exchanged between the two parties during normal times.

Emergency Relief Activities in Past Large-Scale Disasters
Taiyo Kogyo has experience in responding to disasters such as the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 and the Kumamoto Earthquake in 2016. Taking advantage of the experience and lessons learned from these activities, we began concluding agreements with local governments in 2017, and have built a system that enables the smooth supply of supplies even in times of emergency. We have concluded agreements with 19 municipalities to date, with Akita Prefecture’s agreement being the 20th.
