Conductive flexible container product business acquired.

Taiyo Kogyo Corporation (Tokyo headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Osaka headquarters: Yodogawa-ku, Osaka; President: Yumi Nomura), a company involved in large membrane surface structures (tent structures) and civil engineering and logistics materials, has withdrawn from the flexible container business in March 2025, and Mitsubishi Chemical Infratec Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo (Tokyo, Japan; President: Katsuya Serizawa), which withdrew from the flexible container business in March 2025, and will take over the company’s conductive flexible container products (former Diattainer EC) in July 2025.

Flexible container bags are logistics materials for transporting powder and granular materials such as synthetic resins, chemicals, foods, and fertilizers, and have supported domestic powder and granular logistics for many years since the high economic growth period. Since 1963, when we succeeded in developing flexible container bags and launched our business, we have been a leader in the powder and granular material bag market. Our strength lies in our “running-type” flexible container bags, which can be reused many times after cleaning and maintenance, in addition to simply being manufactured.

When Mitsubishi Chemical Infratec Corporation, which had been providing running-type flexible container bags similar to ours, withdrew from the business, we were consulted about providing continuous service and have been in discussions with the company. As a result, we decided to take over the manufacturing and sales of conductive flexible container products (former DIATENER EC) from Mitsubishi Chemical Infratec, based on our judgment that maintaining continuous and stable service provision and providing an environment where customers can continue to use the products with peace of mind will lead to trust in the industry.

Durable and safe running type flexible container bags will continue to be an indispensable logistics material in the domestic market. Compared to the “cloth type,” which is designed for one-time use, the running type, which can be washed and used repeatedly, is highly effective in reducing environmental impact and is expected to remain in demand.

Mitsubishi Chemical Infratec Corporation’s conductive flexible container products (former DiaTainer EC) are logistics materials for transporting fine powders such as toner binders, foamed polystyrene, and paint resins, and are bags that can quickly eliminate static electricity as a measure against static electricity associated with the transportation of fine powders. We have decided to take over the operations of this product, from manufacturing to sales.
