High utilization rate was the deciding factor in the introduction of the system│Accomplished by drastically reducing construction costs and shortening the construction period

Company Case Study M's Logistics Co.

M’s Logistics Corporation, which is widely active in the transportation of international marine containers and super-large goods by large trailers, aims to contribute to the revitalization of local economies and the development of Japan and the international community through logistics, with the happiness of its customers and all employees as its top priority. In the warehousing and management business, one of our businesses, we provide integrated management services from receiving goods to shipping, delivery, and inventory management, responding promptly to logistics needs and storing goods.

We interviewed Mr. Mochizuki, President of M’s Logistics, about why he chose a tent warehouse for his company’s new warehouse and his impressions of the introduction of tent warehouses.

Reasons for choosing Tent Warehouse

M’s Logistics Co., Ltd. adopted our composite membrane structural building “Flex House System” for its sales warehouse. A major deciding factor in its introduction was the relatively low cost of construction, as well as the short time frame between planning and completion. Since the space was needed immediately for the storage of supplies, the construction period was shorter than that of a regular warehouse, and it was very helpful to be able to start operations immediately.

Advantages of installing a tent warehouse

After completion, the first thing that surprised us was the brightness of the storage room. The membrane roof has a high lighting rate, and even on cloudy days, there is plenty of light. The lighting is sufficient even on cloudy days, and no lights are used during the day. This not only improves the work environment, but also cuts electricity costs significantly.

Concerns about summer heat have also been successfully dispelled through the use of titanium dioxide photocatalytic coating, which comparatively improves the reflectivity of solar radiation and suppresses the rise in temperature inside the warehouse. In addition, in order to keep the warehouse in use for long periods of time, it is essential to address issues such as leaks, fire, and security. The “Flex System” meets these challenges with its high strength, durability, and nonflammable membrane material, as well as its excellent security (galvalume steel plate) exterior walls, which provide a total solution.

Why is a tent warehouse considered an ideal warehouse?

There is no need to spend time and money to repaint the roof every 10 years, as is the case with steel-roofed warehouses. Membrane replacement is inexpensive, and the work can be completed in a short period of time, so business opportunities are not missed and high utilization rates can be expected.

Not only our employees, but also our customers who saw the clean and bright warehouse interior with the membrane roof were pleased to hear that they can trust M’s Logistics. We feel that this is truly an ideal warehouse that we trucking companies can continue to use with peace of mind.
