background
We have experience in responding to disasters such as the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 and the Kumamoto Earthquake in 2016. Based on the experience and lessons learned from these activities, we began concluding agreements with local governments in 2017, and have built a system that enables smooth supply of supplies even in times of emergency. We had been aware that setting up tents in the chaos immediately after a disaster requires a variety of coordination and approval procedures, which can delay the response. We hope that the disaster agreement will solve these problems. The number of agreements concluded to date has reached 44, and the agreement with Miyazaki Prefecture is the 45th (including the 5th directly with the prefecture).

Comment
Mr. Shunji Kono, Governor of Miyazaki Prefecture
The newly constructed disaster prevention office building is designed to protect the lives and property of prefectural residents, and with the signing of this agreement, we are now even more prepared to strengthen our disaster prevention efforts. We are very grateful for this agreement, which will lead to the safety and security of the citizens of the prefecture in the event of an emergency.
Hidefumi Araki, President and Representative Director, Taiyo Kogyo Corporation
The “storm door made of membrane” that we are donating today was also developed with the idea of contributing to society by creating a product that does not exist in the world. In the event of an emergency, we will not only provide the necessary materials and equipment, but also offer solutions and proposals through creative approaches. To this end, we hope to communicate with each person in charge on a regular basis, so that we can provide full support in case of emergency.
